Scuro come una messa nera, Vasco Rossi ha così iniziato il suo show. La superstar italiana di Modena, che nel suo Paese raduna oltre 100.000 persone ai suoi concerti, è per la prima volta in tour in Germania, quindi non è stata una sorpresa che il Mannheims Musensaal fosse preso d'assalto da italiani.

Vasco Rossi è il primo vero artista rock della terra del sole a sud delle Alpi. Al suo cospetto Gianna Nannini ed Eros Ramazzotti sembrano artisti da canzoncine pop. Le chitarre graffiano indemoniate, gli amplificatori sono al massimo, come se l'uomo dietro al mixer volesse riempire lo stadio milanese di San Siro con il suono.

Ciò non colpisce la musica. Vasco dona tutto ciò che può alla comunità italiana di Germania. "Deviazioni", "Blasco Rossi", "Vivere senza te" - tutte queste sono state hits nel suo Paese e irradiano un'energia terrificante. I suoi fans conoscono tutte le canzoni a memoria. Quando canta il suo inno alla vita avventurosa - "Vita spericolata" - diventa la voce di una generazione selvaggia. Vivere come le star, esageratamente e in maniera maleducata, quasi come Steve McQueen.

When he sings his anthem about an adventurous life - "Vita spericolata" - he becomes the voice of a wild generation. Live like the stars, exaggerated and ill-mannered, almost like Steve McQueen.

This includes the theme of drugs, which Rossi picks up ironically in his song "Bollicine" (air bubbles).
